This guide will take you through the steps to resetting your 2Wire 2700HG-E router. When resetting your 2Wire 2700HG-E it returns to it's original factory settings. This is different than rebooting your router which only means to turn your router off and then back on again.

Warning: Resetting your router is serious. There are several things you should consider before continuing:

  1. Your router username and password will be reset to the original factory defaults.
  2. The Internet password and username will also be reset (meaning you may need to reconnect all your devices after you have done this).
  3. The ISP information will need to be re-entered. If you are unsure of this step you will need to call your ISP.
  4. All configurations you have previously made to this router will need to be entered again.
