Have you been unable to login to the Actiontec GT784WNV MTS router. Have you tried everything? Don't give up and toss the router out the window quite yet.

In this guide I will be showing you how to reset the Actiontec GT784WNV MTS router. This is not the same thing as a reboot. When you reboot a router you simply cycle the power to the device. This is done by unplugging the router, waiting about 30 seconds and then turning it back on. On the other hand, when you reset the router you erase all the changed settings and revert them all to the original factory defaults.

Warning: All of the settings you have changed in the past will be erased. These include:

  • The router interface username and password.
  • The WiFi username and password.
  • If this is a DSL router, you need to re-enter the ISP (Internet Service Provider) username and password. You will need to call your ISP for this information.
  • Other settings such as port forwards, IP address changes, and wireless schedules are erased as well.
