In this guide we will go over how to reset the Actiontec V1000H Telus router. When you reset the router it reverts to factory settings. This is different than rebooting the router which consists of only turning it off and back on again to cycle the power.

Warning: Resetting your router is serious and should not be taken lightly. Only proceed with this reset if you have considered the following:

  • The router's main username and password are reset to factory settings.
  • The Internet username and password are reset.
  • If you use a DSL router, a ISP username and password will be required to continue using your Internet. If you are unsure call your Internet Service Provider.
  • All configurations you have made are erased. This includes firewalls and port forwards.
