On this page I will be showing you how to reset the ADB PRG AV4202N router. It's important that before we begin you know the difference between a reset and a reboot. When you reboot a router it cycles the power to the device. This can be done manually by unplugging the power source, waiting about 30 seconds, then plugging it back in. When you reset a router you rake all the settings and return every one of them back to factory defaults. This means every one of your personal configurations is erased.

Warning: This reset can cause a lot of changes in your router configuration. We strongly recommend that you made a list of any changes you have ever made to your router. Consider the following:

  • The Internet name and password are erased and put back to how they were from the factory.
  • The router's main username and password are erased as well and need to be reconfigured.
  • If you use a DSL connection for your Internet you need to re-enter the ISP or Internet Service Provider username and password. We suggest calling your ISP for the details.
  • Any other changes such as port forwards or IP address assignments are erased. Make sure to take note of these so you can re-enter them after the reset process is complete.
