In this guide we will show you how to reset the ADB VV3212 router back to factory defaults. This is not the same thing as a reboot. A reboot is simply a power cycle for the device. A reset erases all the changes you have made to the router and reverts them back to factory defaults.

WARNING: A reset should not be considered until all your troubleshooting techniques have been exhausted. Please consider the following:

  • Your router username and password are erased.
  • Your WiFi username and password are erased.
  • DSL users need to re-enter the ISP username and password. Call your ISP for details.
  • Any other settings you have changed in the past have also been erased. A full router reconfiguration is needed after the reset is complete.

Reset the ADB VV3212

The first step in resetting a router is to find the reset button. On the ADB VV3212 router it is located on the side panel and looks more like a pinhole than a button.

Take a pin or unfolded paperclip and press down on the reset button for at least 10 seconds. This should begin the reset process which can take several minutes to complete.

DO NOT: unplug or turn off the router during the reset process. Doing so will likely cause permanent damage to the device.

Remember this reset erases every single setting you have ever changed in the past. I strongly recommend exhausting all other troubleshooting methods before a reset is considered.
