This guide will cover how to reset the Alphion ARGT-1040 router to factory defaults. It's important to know the difference between resetting the router and rebooting the router. Rebooting a router is referring to cycling the power by turning the device off and back on again.
Warning: This reset can cause a lot of problems if you don't know what to expect when resetting your router. Consider the following:
- Your router password and username are reset.
- The Internet SSID and password are reset.
- If you use a DSL connection you will need to enter the ISP username and password again. Call your ISP for details.
- Any previous configurations such as port forwards will be erased. You will need to enter these again after the reset is complete.
