This page will show you how to setup a port forward on the Arris SBR-AC1750 router.

Configure your Computer to Have a Static IP Address

Port forwarding the Arris SBR-AC1750 to your computer can be more reliable if you first configure a static IP address on your computer. We have instructions to setup a static IP address for Windows 7, Windows 8, and a variety of other devices on our Static IP Address Settings page.

Please note that while setting up a static IP address on your computer is optional, it is still a very good idea to go ahead and do it. In the long run it will make your port forward much more reliable.

Login To The Arris SBR-AC1750

To get started forwarding a port you need to login to your Arris SBR-AC1750 router. If you are already logged in you can skip this step.

Forward a Port on the Arris SBR-AC1750 router

Find The Port Forwarding Section of the Arris SBR-AC1750

Once you have finished logging into the Arris SBR-AC1750 router you should see a page similar to the one you see above.

To create a new port forward click the option at the top of the page labeled FIREWALL. Then in the new menu pick Port Forwarding.

Now to forward a port, make the following changes:

First of all, choose the option of Custom from the drop down menu labeled Service List. Then click Add.

Put a checkmark in the box labeled Enable.

Then in the Description box enter something that will help you remember why you are forwarding these ports. Entering the program name is a good idea.

To the right of that are the inbound port boxes. If you are forwarding a single port enter the single port number in both of these boxes. If you are forwarding a range of ports enter the lowest number in the left box and the highest port number in the right box. Then do that exact same thing in the 2 boxes labeled Private port. This means if you are forwarding only one port you should of entered it a total of four times. A range of ports will of been entered twice.

In the Type drop down list choose the type of protocol you need to use to forward these ports.

In the box labeled Private IP address enter the IP address of the computer you are forwarding these ports for. This means if you are forwarding a port to make a program run smoother on your notebook you need to enter the notebook's IP address here.

When you are finished click the Apply button to save your changes.

Test if Your Ports are Open

Now that you have forwarded ports on the Arris SBR-AC1750 you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
