In this guide we will show you how to reset the BEC-Technologies BEC-7800TN router back to factory defaults. The terms reset and reboot are often times confused with each other. To reboot the router you need to cycle it' power by turning it off and back on again. To reset a router means you take all the settings and return them to factory defaults.

Warning: Be careful because a factory reset could cause problems if you don't know what settings have been changed. We suggest making a list, consider the following:

  • The router's main username and password are returned to factory defaults.
  • The WiFi setting such as SSID, password, and security mode are all returned to default settings.
  • If you use DSL for your Internet connection you need to re-enter the ISP username and password. To obtain this information you'll need to call your ISP.
  • Any other settings you have changed such as port forwards or IP address changes are erased.
