Have you tried to login to the Jensen-Scandinavia AirLink-10006 router and been unsuccessful? It might be time to consider a factory reset. A factory reset is not the same thing as a reboot. When you reboot a router you cycle the power to the unit. When you reset a router you take all the settings that have ever been changed and revert them to factory defaults.

Warning: Resetting the router is a big step and needs to be taken seriously. We highly recommend that you create a list of all possible settings you have changed in the past such as:

  • The router's main username and password.
  • The network SSID and password.
  • If this is a DSL router you need to re-enter the Internet Service Provider (ISP) username and password. Call your ISP for these details.
  • Have you made other changes to this device? How about port forwards or IP address changes? Write these down as well.

Reset the Jensen Scandinavia AirLink 10006

Unfortunately I am unable to show you an image of where the reset button is located. Normally a reset button looks less like a reset button and more like a small pinhole on the outside of the device.

The first thing to do once you find the reset "button" is to make sure the router is on. Then take a small sharp object such as a straightened paperclip and press down on the reset button for about 10 seconds. This will begin the reset process. If you don't hold the reset button down for long enough you might end up only rebooting the device instead.

Warning: Do not unplug or turn off the device during the reset process. Doing so could cause permanent damage to the unit.

Don't forget that this reset is erasing every personal setting you have ever made to the device. Please consider other options before you decide to reset the Jensen-Scandinavia AirLink-10006 router.

Once the reset is complete you need to login to the Jensen-Scandinavia AirLink-10006 router using the appropriate default IP address, username and password. Check out our Login Guide for the Jensen-Scandinavia AirLink-10006 router.

Tip: Did the defaults not work? It might be that you didn't hold the reset button down for long enough.

Change Your Password

After the login is complete you need to change the default password for the router. This password is protecting the router settings not the Internet access. Nevertheless this password should be strong. Check out our Choosing a Strong Password guide to help you.

Tip: If you want to avoid losing this password you should try writing it down on a slip of paper and taping it to the bottom of the router.
