How to Reset the Ambit U10C037

In this guide I will talk about how to reset the Ambit U10C037 router. This is not the same as rebooting. Rebooting is referring to cycling the power by simply turning the device off and back on again. Resetting is also very simply but has more consequences. A reset completely erases any personal changes you have made to your router and reverts the device back to factory defaults.

Warning: A reset can be a problem if you don't know what changes. Please consider the following before continuing.

  • Your main router username and password are reset to factory defaults.
  • The Wireless SSID/username and password are reset as well.
  • If you use a DSL connection to get your Internet the ISP information needs to be re-entered. If you are unsure of this information check with your ISP.
  • Any configurations you have made in the past such as port forwards or IP address changes will be erased.

Reset the Ambit U10C037

The first step is to be sure your Ambit U10C037 router is on. Do not unplug or turn off your router once the reset process begins. Doing so could cause permanent damage to your device.

Next locate the reset button for your router. It is usually found on the back panel. (see image below)

Now take a paperclip or the tip of a pencil and depress the reset button for approximately 10 seconds.
