In this guide I will show you how to reset the Ambit U10C019 router. This is not the same thing as rebooting the router which is simply turning the device off and back on again. Resetting is erasing everything you've done to the router and starting over from factory defaults.
Warning: Some caution needs to be followed when resetting a router. Problems could arise if you are unaware of what a reset will do. Take a look at the following list of things that will change.
- The router's username and password are reset.
- The WiFi SSID and password are reset.
- If you use a DSL connection you need to re-enter the ISP username and password. If you are unsure of these details you need to check with your ISP.
- All configurations you have made in your router's interface will be erased. This could include port forwards and IP address changes.

Begin by making sure your Ambit U10C019 router remains on the entire reset process. If it gets unplugged or turned off during the reset it could permanently damage the router.
Now take a look at the back panel and locate the reset button. It is typically a very small button in which you need a pin or unfolded paperclip to depress.
After locating the reset button press and hold it for about 10 seconds.
Remember that this will erase everything you have done to make this router yours. Only proceed with a reset if all your troubleshooting options have been exhausted.

Change Your Password

Tip: Go ahead and write this new password down on a piece of paper and attach it to the underside of the router for future reference.
Setup WiFi on the Ambit U10C019
The last setting we recommend you change as soon as possible is the WiFi security. This is reset as well and can be open as the default. This means everyone and their brother can use your Internet if they are within range. Change your WiFi security to WPA2-PSK for the strongest version.
