In this guide we will show you how to reset the Axesstel MV430i router back to factory settings. This is not the same thing as rebooting a router. Rebooting is cycling the power by turning it off and back on again. Resetting is taking all your configurations and returning them to factory settings.

Warning: Be careful when resetting a router. Make a list of all the settings you know will be changed by this reset. Take the following into consideration.

  • The router's username and password are restored to factory settings.
  • The WiFi information such as SSID, password, and security are reset.
  • If you use a DSL router you need to re-enter the ISP username and password so you don't lose Internet connection.
  • All configurations such as port forwards are erased.

Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a way to reset this router outside of the user interface pages. If you find we are in error, please let us know so we can update this page with the correct information.

Warning: Please keep careful track of your router interface username and password so you can always login. Without a hard reset option it becomes much harder to troubleshoot some problems.
