In this guide I will show you how to reset the Bandluxe R508 router. There is a lot of confusion between the terms of reset and reboot. To reboot a router you cycle the power by turning it off and back on again. When you need to reset the router it takes all the settings and reverts them back to factory settings.

Warning: Resetting this router can cause problems if you are unaware of the changes a reset causes. We suggest making a list of settings you know will change. Consider the following:

  • The router's main username and password are returned to factory settings.
  • The WiFi settings are returned to factory settings. This will include the SSID, password, and security method.
  • If you use a DSL router you need to re-enter the ISP username and password. If you are unsure of the details you need to call your ISP.
  • All other settings are erased. This could include port forwards, IP address changes, or even parental changes.
