Configure your Computer to Have a Static IP Address

Port forwarding the Beetel 220BX1 to your computer can be more reliable if you first configure a static IP address on your computer. We have instructions to setup a static IP address for Windows 7, Windows 8, and a variety of other devices on our Static IP Address Settings page.

Please note that while setting up a static IP address on your computer is optional, it is still a very good idea to go ahead and do it. In the long run it will make your port forward much more reliable.

Login To The Beetel 220BX1

Forward a Port on the Beetel 220BX1 router

Find The Port Forwarding Section of the Beetel 220BX1

You begin on the Device Info page of the Beetel 220BX1 router. To forward a port, click the option on the left side of the page labeled Advanced Setup, then NAT, and Virtual Servers.

Configure the Port Forwarding section of your Beetel 220BX1

Now to forward a port, make the following changes:

You should now be on the page you see above. Click the Add button.

This takes you to a page a lot like the one you see here. First, tick the radio button labeled Customized Service, then enter the name of the program in the available space. This is not crucial, only for your future reference.

Next is the Protocol drop down menu. Use this to choose the type of protocol you want to use when forwarding these ports.

If you are forwarding only one port, enter that number in the boxes, External port, and Internal port. If you are forwarding a range of ports, enter the lowest number in the External port box, and the highest number in the Internal port box.

In the Internal server IP address box, enter the LAN IP address of the computer you are forwarding these ports to. For example, if you are forwarding these ports to run a program on computer A, then use computer A's LAN IP address.

That's it, just click the Apply button and you are finished.

Test if Your Ports are Open

Now that you have forwarded ports on the Beetel 220BX1 you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
