If you need to reset your CastleNet CBV704EW A2 router back to factory settings, then this article shows you how. This is a much bigger deal than a router reboot. A reboot happens every time a router loses power. This is very different from a reset, which erases a router completely and returns it to factory default settings.
Warning: Since this erases everything you have done to the router, there are some things you need to consider first. The following settings in your router will be changed:
- The router's login credentials are reset.
- All WiFi login information and network names are reset.
- All ISP settings will reset to default, and you may have to contact your ISP.
- All parental controls, firewall settings, and port forwards will be removed.
Resetting your router should be considered the last step. Make sure that you have tried to recover your router password using our Router Password Finder first.

Reset the CastleNet CBV704EW A2
On most routers you can find a small button on the back or the bottom labeled reset. This is what a typical reset button looks like:

Yours may look slightly different, but they are usually tiny. You may need a paper clip to push the reset button.
