This guide shows you how to reset your DigicelPlay HG8245H router to factory default settings. This is a much bigger deal than a router reboot. Rebooting a router is simply turning it off and back on again. This is very different from a reset, which erases a router completely and returns it to factory default settings.
Warning: Before you continue, there are a few things you need to know. The following settings will be changed in your router:
- The router's login credentials are reset to factory defaults.
- Your WiFi login, password, and network name are reset.
- All ISP settings will reset to default, and you may have to contact your ISP.
- Any parental controls, firewall settings, or port forwards will be removed.
A router reset should be considered the last resort when you cannot log in to your router any other way. Before you reset your router you may want to try recovering your router password with our Router Password Finder.

Reset the DigicelPlay HG8245H
Usually there is a reset button located on the back or bottom of a router. Most reset buttons look like this:
Reset buttons are usually tiny. Yours may look slightly different than this. Sometimes the button is under a pinhole, and you need a paper clip to push it.
Hold the reset button down for about 10 seconds while watching the lights on the front of your router. After a few seconds the lights should blink differently. When this happens, the reset is complete. Do not worry about holding the button down too long; this is harmless.
Don't forget, this step will totally reset your DigicelPlay HG8245H router back to factory settings.

Login to the DigicelPlay HG8245H

Change Your Password

Tip: Write your new password down on a note and tape it to the bottom of your router for future reference.
