On this page we show you how to reset the Dlink DIR-605L router back to the original factory defaults. This is not the same thing as a reboot. When you reboot something you end up only cycling the power to the device. When you reset a router you take all the settings and return them all to factory defaults.
Warning: Resetting your router is a big step and should be carefully considered first. We have started a list of settings that are reverted:
- The router's main username and password.
- The Internet name and password.
- The ISP (Internet Service Provider) username and password if you use a DSL connection.
- Have you made any other changes to your router such as parental controls or filters? These all need to be setup again after the reset is complete.
