On this page we will lead you through the steps on how to reset the Dlink DWL-2210AP router back to the original factory defaults.

Do you know the difference between a reset and a reboot? A reboot is simply a cycle in the power to the device. This is done by physically removing the power to the unit. Then after about 30 seconds reconnecting the power. A reset is where you erase all current settings and return them all back to how they were when they left the factory.

Warning: Resetting a router is a big step and we want you to make sure you understand what you are doing. Please try other ways of fixing the problem first. Things you must consider before resetting the Dlink DWL-2210AP are:

  • The router's main username and password are erased and returned to factory values.
  • The Internet name and password are also reverted back to factory defaults.
  • If this is a DSL router you need to re-enter the ISP (Internet Service Provider) username and password. This is so you can use the Internet again. Call your ISP for the details.
  • Any other settings such as a port forward or an IP address change is erased. They all need to be reconfigured after the reset is finished.
