On this page you will be learning how to reset the Dlink DWL-3150 router back to factory defaults. A reset is not the same thing as a reboot. When you preform a reboot you are cycling the power to the device. When you reset a router you are taking all the settings and returning them all to original factory defaults. This means every single setting you have ever changed is erased and reverted back to how it was when it left the factory.

Warning: This reset means you need to reconfigure your Dlink DWL-3150 after the reset is complete. Do you know what settings need to be reconfigured? Settings you need to consider are:

  • The router's main username and password used to access the web interface.
  • The Internet name and password are also reverted back to factory default settings.
  • If this is a DSL router you need to re-enter the ISP (Internet Service Provider) username and password. To learn more about this call your ISP.
  • Now you need to write down any other settings you may have changed. This includes port forwards, IP addresses, DNS addresses...etc.
