How to Reset the Dovado UMR mobile Broadband

On this page I will be showing you how to reset the Dovado UMR Broadband router back to factory defaults. This is not the same as a reboot. When you reboot a router you cycle the power to the device. When you reset a router you take all the settings and return them all to factory defaults.

Warning: Resetting a router is a big step and should not be taken lightly. We recommend trying other methods of troubleshooting methods before resetting the router. Things you need to consider are:

  • The router's main username and password are erased and reverted back to factory defaults.
  • The Internet name and password are erased and reverted to factory defaults.
  • If this is a DSL router you need to re-enter the ISP username and password to continue to have access to the Internet. Call your local ISP for the details.
  • If you have ever made any other adjustments to this router you need to write them down so you can reconfigure them after the reset is finished.

Reset the Dovado UMR mobile Broadband

The first step is to find the reset button/pinhole. For this Dovado UMR Broadband router you can find it on the back panel.

Now, take a straight paperclip and press down on the reset button for about 10 seconds. If you don't hold this button down for the entire amount of time you might end up only rebooting the router instead of resetting it.

Login to the Dovado UMR mobile Broadband

This can be whatever you want it to be, however keep in mind that a strong password is 14-20 characters in length and contains no personal information. Tip: Avoid losing your new password by writing it on a slip of paper and taping it to the bottom of your router.
