Reset the Hitron Technologies CODA-4582-ONE (2A)

This guide shows you how to reset your Hitron Technologies CODA-4582-ONE (2A) router to factory default settings. A router reset is very different than a router reboot. Unplugging a router from the wall reboots it. However, when you reset a router you, return it back to its factory default settings.

Warning: Before you continue, there are a few things you need to know. The following settings in your router will be changed:

  • The router's login credentials are reset.
  • Your WiFi login, password, and network name are reset.
  • All ISP settings will reset to default, and you may have to contact your ISP.
  • All parental controls, firewall settings, and port forwards will be removed.

Reset the Hitron Technologies CODA-4582-ONE (2A)

Most of the time you can find a small reset button located on either the back or the bottom of a router. What you are looking for is something that looks like this:

Yours may look slightly different, but they are usually tiny. If you find a pinhole on the back of the router then that may be the reset button. You will need a paper clip to push it.

Hold the reset button down for about 10 seconds while watching the lights on the front of your router. Notice how the lights on the front of the router are blinking. When the lights do something different, the router is reset. You can hold the button down as long as you like, it will not hurt anything.

Remember, this will erase everything you have previously done to this Hitron Technologies CODA-4582-ONE (2A) router.
