Setup WiFi on the Hitron Technologies CVW-30360

Login To The Hitron Technologies CVW-30360

Find the WiFi Settings on the Hitron Technologies CVW-30360

Once you have finished logging into the Hitron-Technologies CVW-30360 router you should see the Home page.

To setup the wireless settings click the option in the left sidebar labeled Wireless. Then at the top be sure Basic is chosen.

Change the WiFi Settings on the Hitron Technologies CVW-30360

This takes you to a page like the one you see here. The only setting you need to change on this page is the Primary SSID. This is your network identification. Enter something unique here but avoid personal or router specific information. Learn more in our wireless names guide.

Click the Apply button then at the top of the page, click the tab labeled Security.

On this page pick the SSID you just created from the Wireless_Security_SSID drop down list.

Next you need to skip down to the Authentication box and choose Shared Key.

After that open up the drop down menu titled WPA Mode. Choose the option of WPA2-PSK. Learn more about this in our guide titled WEP vs. WPA.

Below that is the Cipher Type. We recommend AES.

The last setting you need to change is the Pre-Shared Key. This is the Internet password. Be sure this password is strong. Use at least 14 characters in the password. More tips for strong password can be found in our Choosing a Strong Password guide.

That's it, don't forget to save your changes before you exit this page.

Possible Problems when Changing your WiFi Settings

After making these changes to your router you will almost definitely have to reconnect any previously connected devices. This is usually done at the device itself and not at your computer.
