This guide shows you how to reset your Huawei B612s-51d router. This is not the same thing as rebooting a router. Unplugging a router from the wall reboots it. Resetting a router erases all settings from it and returns it to factory defaults.
Warning: This is not a step to be taken lightly. The following settings in your router will be changed:
- The router's login and password are reset to factory defaults.
- Your WiFi login, password, and network name are reset.
- Any ISP settings saved in your router will be removed. You may have to contact your ISP.
- All parental controls, firewall settings, and port forwards will be removed.
A router reset is the last step you should take in recovering your router's password. Make sure that you have tried to recover your router password using our Router Password Finder first.

Recover Password in Huawei B612s-51d

Reset the Huawei B612s-51d
There is usually a small reset button located on either the back or the bottom of a router. Look for something that looks like this:
Your reset button may look different, but usually they are very small. You might find a pinhole on the back of the router that requires a paper clip to push the button hidden under it.
Hold the reset button down for 10 seconds and watch the lights. The blinking pattern of the lights on the front of the router should change when the reset is complete. It is harmless to hold the reset button too long.
Keep in mind that this will completely reset your Huawei B612s-51d router.

Login to the Huawei B612s-51d

Change Your Password

Tip: Put your new password on a post-in note and stick it to the bottom of your router.
