How to Reset the Inteno DG301AL

On this page I will show you how to properly reset the Inteno DG301AL router back to the original factory defaults. This is not the same thing as a reboot. When you reboot a router you cycle the power to the unit. When you reset a router you take all the settings and return them all to how they were from the factory. This means every setting you have ever changed is erased.

Warning: This reset is a big step and should not be taken lightly. We recommend making a list of possible settings you may of changed in the past. These include but are not limited to:

  • The router's main username and password.
  • Any port forwarding you have done.
  • IP addresses you may of changed.

Take a look at the image below and notice where the reset button is located. I have circled it for you in red.

While the router is on take a straightened paperclip and press down on reset button for about 10 seconds. If you don't hold the reset button down for long enough you might end up only rebooting the router instead of resetting it like you intended.

Warning: Do not unplug or turn off the router during the reset process. It could cause permanent damage to the router.

Remember a reset like this one erases every single setting you have ever changed on the device. Please consider other troubleshooting methods before you continue.

Login to the Inteno DG301AL

Once you've reset your Inteno DG301AL router you'll want to log into it. This is done by using the factory default username and password. Not sure where you can find these? We have them listed for your use in our Login Guide.

Tip: If the defaults aren't logging you in it could be because the reset button wasn't held down for long enough.

Change Your Password

Tip: Prevent yourself from losing your new password by writing it on a slip of paper and attaching it to the bottom of your router.
