On this page I will show you how to properly reset the Inteno X5671 router. There is some confusion on what a reset is. In this guide a reset is not a reboot. A reboot is a cycle in the power to the device. A reset is a erasure of all settings you have made changes to.
Warning: Resetting the Inteno X5671 router is a big step and should not be taken lightly. We strongly recommend trying other troubleshooting methods before deciding on a reset. We also recommend creating a list of all the possible settings you have changed in the past such as:
- The router's main interface IP address, username and password.
- The WiFi information such as SSID and password for the wireless network.
- If this is a DSL router you need to re-enter the ISP or Internet Service Provider username and password. Call your ISP for these details.
- Have you made any other changes to the router? How about port forwards or IP address changes.

Reset the Inteno X5671
In the image below I have circled the reset button for you in red. Now locate it on the Inteno X5671 router you have.
While the router is on take a straightened paperclip and press down on the reset button three times. This begins the reset process.
Warning: Do not unplug or turn off the router during the reset process. Doing so could cause permanent damage to the router.
Remember a reset like this one is going to erase every single setting you have ever changed in the history of this router. We strongly recommend trying other troubleshooting methods before you decide to reset the Inteno X5671 router.
Login to the Inteno X5671

Change Your Password
It is now a good idea to change the default password you just used. This password is how you protect your router interface. To create a good password follow the tips in our Choosing a Strong Password guide.
