In this article, you will learn how to reset your Linksys EA7450 back to factory settings. This is a much bigger deal than a router reboot. A reboot happens every time a router loses power. This is different from a reset because a reset completely erases all settings from the router.
Warning: Before you continue, there are a few things you need to know. A router reset will affect the following settings:
- The router's login and password are reset to factory defaults.
- Your WiFi name and password are reset.
- Your ISP settings are reset, which means you will have to contact your ISP to get them back.
- Any port forwards, firewall settings, or parental controls that you have configured will be removed.
Resetting your router should be considered the last step. Before you reset your router, you may want to try recovering your router password with our Router Password Finder.

If you are unable to recover your lost router password, then you may have to proceed with a full router reset.
Reset the Linksys EA7450
Usually there is a reset button located on the back or bottom of a router. Look for something that looks like this:
Your reset button may look different, but usually they are very small. Sometimes the button is under a pinhole, and you need a paper clip to push it.
Hold the reset button down for about 10 seconds while watching the lights on the front of your router. You should notice that the blinking pattern of the lights on the front of the router changes after a few seconds. You can hold the button down as long as you like, it will not hurt anything.
Just don't forget that this will totally reset your Linksys EA7450 router.

Login to the Linksys EA7450
