This guide shows you how to reset your Luxul XBR-2300 router to factory default settings. Resetting a router is different than rebooting a router. A reboot happens every time a router loses power. Resetting a router erases all settings from it and returns it to factory defaults.
Warning: This is not a step to be taken lightly. The following settings will be changed in your router:
- The router's login and password are reset to factory defaults.
- Your WiFi name and password are reset.
- Your ISP settings are reset, which means you will have to contact your ISP to get them back.
- Any firewall settings, parental controls, and port forwards that you have configured will be removed.
A router reset should be considered the last resort when you cannot log in to your router any other way. Before you reset your router, you may want to try recovering your router password with our Router Password Finder.

Reset the Luxul XBR-2300
Usually there is a reset button located on the back or bottom of a router. What you are looking for is something that looks like this:
Reset buttons are usually tiny. Yours may look slightly different than this. Sometimes the button is under a pinhole, and you need a paper clip to push it.
Watch the lights on the front of your router and hold the reset button down for about 10 seconds. After a few seconds the lights should blink differently. When this happens, the reset is complete. Do not worry about holding the button down too long; this is harmless.
Keep in mind that this will completely reset your Luxul XBR-2300 router.

Login to the Luxul XBR-2300

Change Your Password
Be sure to change your router's default password after you get logged back in. Since factory passwords are well known, it's a huge security risk to leave your router set to the default. You can follow our Choosing a Strong Password guide to help you pick a solid password for your router.
Tip: Put your new password on a post-in note and stick it to the bottom of your router.
