WiFi Terms
Before we get started there is a little bit of background info that you should be familiar with.
Wireless Name
Your wireless network needs to have a name to uniquely identify it from other wireless networks. If you are not sure what this means we have a guide explaining what a wireless name is that you can read for more information.

An important part of securing your wireless network is choosing a strong password.

Picking a WiFi channel is not always a simple task. Be sure to read about WiFi channels before making the choice.
Encryption
You should almost definitely pick WPA2 for your networks encryption. If you are unsure, be sure to read our WEP vs WPA guide first.
Login To The Prolink H5004N
To get started configuring the Prolink H5004N WiFi settings you need to login to your router. If you are already logged in you can skip this step.

Find the WiFi Settings on the Prolink H5004N
If you followed our login guide above then you should see this screen.
This guide begins on the WIFI Status page of the Prolink H5004N router. Click the option at the top of the page labeled Wireless. If another sub menu appears, click the option of Basic Settings.
Change the WiFi Settings on the Prolink H5004N
On this new page locate the SSID:(PLDTMyDSL+user defined). This is the name you use for your network identification. While it doesn't matter what you enter, we recommend avoiding personal information. Learn more in our Wireless Names Guide.
Now locate the Channel Number. Make sure that you choose from channels 1,6, or 11. Learn more in our WiFi Channels Guide.
Just click the Apply Changes button.
Now click the sub-option at the top of the page labeled Wireless Security Setup under Wireless.
Use the Encryption drop down list to choose the option of WPA2(AES). Find out why in our WEP vs. WPA Guide.
Now choose Passphrase in the Pre-Shared Key Format.
In the space titled Pre-Shared Key enter the password you want to use for your network. We recommend using at least 14 to 20 characters here with some numbers, symbols, and capital letters. If you want to learn more, read our Password Guide.
When you have done this, click Apply Changes.
Possible Problems when Changing your WiFi Settings
After making these changes to your router you will almost definitely have to reconnect any previously connected devices. This is usually done at the device itself and not at your computer.
