This guide shows you how to reset your Sagem Fast 3864v2 router. This is not the same thing as rebooting a router. Unplugging a router from the wall reboots it. A Router Reset completely erases the router and returns it to factory settings.
Warning: Since this erases everything you have done to the router, there are some things you need to consider first. A router reset will affect the following settings:
- The router's username and password are reset to factory defaults.
- All WiFi login information and network names are reset.
- Your ISP settings are reset, which means you will have to contact your ISP to get them back.
- All port forwards, firewall settings, and parental controls that you have configured will be removed.

Reset the Sagem Fast 3864v2
On most routers you can find a small button on the back or the bottom labeled reset. This is what a typical reset button looks like:
Reset buttons are usually tiny. Yours may look slightly different than this. You may need a paper clip to push the reset button.
Watch the lights on the front of your router and hold the reset button down for about 10 seconds. After a few seconds the lights should blink differently. When this happens, the reset is complete. You cannot hold the button too long, and it will not hurt the router to hold the reset button down for longer than 10 seconds.
Don't forget, this step will totally reset your Sagem Fast 3864v2 router back to factory settings.
