This is the reset guide for the Sagemcom Fast 2504 Sky router. A router reset is very different than a router reboot. Unplugging a router from the wall reboots it. This is different from a reset because a reset completely erases all settings from the router.
Warning: Before you continue, there are a few things you need to know. The following settings in your router will be changed:
- The router's username and password are reset.
- All WiFi information such as network name, password, and authentication method are erased.
- Any ISP settings saved in your router will be removed. You may have to contact your ISP.
- Any parental controls, firewall settings, or port forwards will be removed.

Reset the Sagemcom Fast 2504 Sky
You can usually find a small reset button on either the back or the bottom of a router. Most reset buttons look like this:
Even though yours may look slightly different, you need to look for a tiny button. If you find a pinhole on the back of the router then that may be the reset button. You will need a paper clip to push it.
Hold the reset button down for 10 seconds and watch the lights. The lights on the front of the router should do something different when the reset happens. You cannot hold the button too long, and it will not hurt the router to hold the reset button down for longer than 10 seconds.
Just don't forget that this will totally reset your Sagemcom Fast 2504 Sky router.

Login to the Sagemcom Fast 2504 Sky

Change Your Password
You need to change your router's default password after you log in for the first time. Since factory passwords are well known, it's a huge security risk to leave your router set to the default. Our Choosing a Strong Password guide talks about choosing a strong password for your router.
Tip: Write your new password down on a post-it note and stick it to the bottom of your router.
