Login To The Samsung MiFi-2200

We begin this wireless setup guide on the Home page of the Samsung MiFi-2200 router. To start off, click Network at the top of the page. From here, click WiFi.

Change the WiFi Settings on the Samsung MiFi-2200

Start off by clicking the tab labeled Manual Configuration.

Following that, open the drop down menu titled Selected Profile. Most people will want to choose Secure. However, if you're setting up a temporary hotspot, choose Temporary Hotspot.

Now you'll need to decide on a Network Name (SSID) and enter it into the provided box. This can be whatever you want, however we strongly recommend that you avoid any personal information. To learn more, take a look at our Wireless Names Guide.

Next, open the drop down menu labeled Security and select WPA2 Personal/PSK (AES) . This will provide you with the strongest security. For more information, check out our WEP vs. WPA Guide.

Lastly, enter your desired password into the box marked Network Key. This can be anything you like, however a strong password consists of 14-20 characters and includes no personal information. For more helpful tips like these, see our Choosing a Strong Password Guide.

Possible Problems when Changing your WiFi Settings

After making these changes to your router you will almost definitely have to reconnect any previously connected devices. This is usually done at the device itself and not at your computer.
