A factory reset puts your Siemens router back to its default settings and default password.
Before You Reset
A reset erases your Internet login (the DSL username and password from your ISP) and WiFi settings. Write them down first.
The Reset Button
- With the router on, press and hold the Reset pinhole on the back with a paperclip for about 10 seconds (on some SpeedStream models, up to 30 seconds).
- Let go and wait a few minutes for the router to restart.
From the Web Interface
On Gigaset routers, go to Advanced Settings > Administration > Factory Settings (or System Management). On SL2 models, go to Management > Settings > Restore Default.
After the Reset
Log in with the defaults (see the Siemens login guide), re-enter your Internet login, set a password and set up your WiFi.
