Before we get started there is a little bit of background info that you should be familiar with.

Picking a WiFi channel is not always a simple task. Be sure to read about WiFi channels before making the choice.
Encryption

Login To The SpeedUp SU-8800MBR
To get started configuring the SpeedUp SU-8800MBR WiFi settings you need to login to your router. If you are already logged in you can skip this step.

Find the WiFi Settings on the SpeedUp SU-8800MBR
If you followed our login guide above then you should see this screen.
Let's begin this guide on the System Status page of the SpeedUp SU-8800MBR router. To change your wireless settings, click the option of Advanced Setup. Then choose Basic Setting.
Some new options should now appear on the left side of the page. Click the one titled Wireless.
Change the WiFi Settings on the SpeedUp SU-8800MBR
First, Enable the Wireless.
Next, change your SSID. This is the network ID and should be fairly unique. Check out our guide on the topic for more info.
Make sure you are using Channel 1,6, or 11 for the best reception.

Finally change the Passphrase. This is the internet password and should be strong. We recommend using at least 14 to 20 characters including some symbols, numbers, and capital letters to make it even stronger. Check out this guide for even more help.
When you are finished, click Save to finalize your setting changes.
Possible Problems when Changing your WiFi Settings
After making these changes to your router you will almost definitely have to reconnect any previously connected devices. This is usually done at the device itself and not at your computer.
