In this article, you will learn how to reset your Technicolor TC7200.20 back to factory settings. A router reset is a much bigger deal than a router reboot. Unplugging a router from the wall reboots it. This is different from a reset because a reset completely erases all settings from the router.
Warning: Since this erases everything you have done to the router, there are some things you need to consider first. When you reset your router, the following will happen.
- The router's login credentials are reset to factory defaults.
- Your WiFi login, password, and network name are reset.
- All ISP settings will reset to default, and you may have to contact your ISP.
- Any firewall settings, parental controls, or port forwards that you have configured will be removed.

Reset the Technicolor TC7200.20
There is usually a small reset button located on either the back or the bottom of a router. Most reset buttons look like this:
Yours may look slightly different, but they are usually tiny. You may need a paper clip to push the reset button.
Hold the reset button down for about 10 seconds while watching the lights on the front of your router. After a few seconds the lights should blink differently. When this happens, the reset is complete. Do not be concerned about holding the reset button down too long. It will not hurt anything.
Remember, this will erase everything you have previously done to this Technicolor TC7200.20 router.
