Setup WiFi on the Tenda WBR-T3

Login To The Tenda WBR-T3

To get started configuring the Tenda WBR-T3 WiFi settings you need to login to your router. If you are already logged in you can skip this step.

Find the WiFi Settings on the Tenda WBR-T3

Let's begin this guide on the Welcome page of the Tenda WBR-T3 router. To configure the Wireless settings, click the option of WLAN Setting. Then under that pick Basic Settng.

Change the WiFi Settings on the Tenda WBR-T3

You should now be on the Basic Setting page.

  • First, change the default SSID to something you come up with. This is your network ID and should be unique. It really doesn't matter what you enter here but we suggest avoiding personal information. More information can be found in this guide.
  • The other setting on this page is titled Channel. Just make sure you are using channels 1,6, or 11. Learn more in this guide.
  • Hit the Save button.
  • Now go back to the left sidebar and click the option of Security Config.

You are now on the Security Config page.

  • Use the Security Options section to choose the right security mode for your network. Our recommendation is WPA2. Learn why in this guide.
  • You now need to change the WPA2 Key. This is the internet password for your network. Go ahead and enter a new one in the space provided. Use a minimum of 14 characters and at least one symbol, number, and capital letter. More info can be found in this guide.
  • That's it, just click the Save button before you exit.

Possible Problems when Changing your WiFi Settings

After making these changes to your router you will almost definitely have to reconnect any previously connected devices. This is usually done at the device itself and not at your computer.
