If you need to reset your TP-Link TL-WR720N v2.0 router back to factory settings, then this article shows you how. This is not the same thing as rebooting a router. Rebooting a router is simply turning it off and back on again. Resetting a router erases all settings from it and returns it to factory defaults.
Warning: This is not a step to be taken lightly. The following settings in your router will be changed:
- The router's login credentials are reset to factory defaults.
- All WiFi login information and network names are reset.
- All ISP settings will reset to default, and you may have to contact your ISP.
- Any firewall settings, parental controls, and port forwards that you have configured will be removed.

Reset the TP-Link TL-WR720N v2.0
You can usually find a small reset button on either the back or the bottom of a router. Most reset buttons look like this:
Even though yours may look slightly different, you need to look for a tiny button. Sometimes the button is under a pinhole, and you need a paper clip to push it.
Watch the front panel lights while you hold the reset button down for at least 10 seconds. The blinking pattern of the lights on the front of the router should change when the reset is complete. You cannot hold the button too long, and it will not hurt the router to hold the reset button down for longer than 10 seconds.
Just don't forget that this will totally reset your TP-Link TL-WR720N v2.0 router.
