Reset the Trendnet TEW-311BRP

If you need to reset your Trendnet TEW-311BRP router back to factory settings, then this article shows you how. A router reset is a much bigger deal than a router reboot. Turning a router off and back on again causes a reboot. However, when you reset a router you, return it back to its factory default settings.

Warning: Proceed with caution; resetting your router can be a major headache. When you reset your router, the following will happen.

Reset the Trendnet TEW-311BRP

You can usually find a small reset button on either the back or the bottom of a router. This is what a typical reset button looks like:

Even though yours may look slightly different, you need to look for a tiny button. Sometimes the reset button is under a pinhole on the back of the router, and you need a paper clip to push it.

Hold the reset button down for 10 seconds and watch the lights. You should notice that the blinking pattern of the lights on the front of the router changes after a few seconds. It is harmless to hold the reset button too long.
