Reset the Trendnet TV-IP100v2

If you need to reset your Trendnet TV-IP100v2 router back to factory settings, then this article shows you how. This is a much bigger deal than a router reboot. Unplugging a router from the wall reboots it. This is very different from a reset, which erases a router completely and returns it to factory default settings.

Warning: Before you proceed, there are a few things you need to know. When you reset your router, the following will happen.

  • The router's login and password are reset to factory defaults.
  • All WiFi information such as network name, password, and authentication method are erased.
  • All ISP settings will reset to default, and you may have to contact your ISP.
  • Any firewall settings, parental controls, and port forwards that you have configured will be removed.

A router reset should be considered the last resort when you cannot log in to your router any other way. You should be sure that you have tried to at least recover your router password using our Router Password Finder before resorting to a router reset.

A router reset should be the last thing you try if you are unable to login.

Reset the Trendnet TV-IP100v2

Usually there is a reset button located on the back or bottom of a router. Look for something that looks like this:

Yours may look slightly different, but they are usually tiny. Sometimes the reset button is under a pinhole on the back of the router, and you need a paper clip to push it.

Hold the reset button down for about 10 seconds while watching the lights on the front of your router. The lights on the front of the router should do something different when the reset happens. Keep holding the button as long as you want, it will not hurt anything to hold it down too long.

Don't forget, this step will totally reset your Trendnet TV-IP100v2 router back to factory settings.

Login to the Trendnet TV-IP100v2

Change Your Password
