Reset the Trendnet TV-IP110

This guide shows you how to reset your Trendnet TV-IP110 router to factory default settings. A router reset is very different than a router reboot. Unplugging a router from the wall reboots it. However, when you reset a router you, return it back to its factory default settings.

Warning: This is not a step to be taken lightly. The following settings will be changed in your router:

  • The router's login and password are reset to factory defaults.
  • Your WiFi name and password are reset.
  • If your router has any ISP settings they will be removed, and you will have to contact your ISP.
  • All parental controls, firewall settings, and port forwards will be removed.

A router reset should be considered the last resort when you cannot log in to your router any other way. Make sure that you have tried to recover your router password using our Router Password Finder first.

Reset the Trendnet TV-IP110

Usually there is a reset button located on the back or bottom of a router. A typical reset button looks like this:

Your reset button may look different, but usually they are very small. Sometimes the reset button is under a pinhole on the back of the router, and you need a paper clip to push it.

Watch the front panel lights while you hold the reset button down for at least 10 seconds. The lights on the front of the router should do something different when the reset happens. You cannot hold the button too long, and it will not hurt the router to hold the reset button down for longer than 10 seconds.

Don't forget, this step will totally reset your Trendnet TV-IP110 router back to factory settings.

Only do this once you have exhausted all other troubleshooting options, such as running our Router Password Finder software, which can recover a lost router password for you.

Login to the Trendnet TV-IP110

Once the reset is complete, you need to login to your router using the default IP address, username, and password. You can find all of the information that you need in our TV-IP110 Login Guide.

Change Your Password

After logging in to your router for the first time, you need to change your router's password. Since factory passwords are well known, it's a huge security risk to leave your router set to the default. Tip: After creating this new password, we highly recommend writing this down on a post-it note and attaching it to the bottom of your router for future reference.
