Reset the Trendnet TV-IP300W

This guide shows you how to reset your Trendnet TV-IP300W router. A router reset is very different than a router reboot. Turning a router off and back on again causes a reboot. This is very different from a reset, which erases a router completely and returns it to factory default settings.

Warning: Before you continue, there are a few things you need to know. A router reset will affect the following settings:

  • The router's username and password are reset to factory defaults.
  • Your WiFi login, password, and network name are reset.
  • Any ISP settings saved in your router will be removed. You may have to contact your ISP.
  • All parental controls, firewall settings, and port forwards will be removed.

Since a router reset is such a drastic step, it should only be done as a last resort when you cannot recover your router's password using any other methods. Make sure that you have tried to recover your router password using our Router Password Finder first.

Reset the Trendnet TV-IP300W

Usually there is a reset button located on the back or bottom of a router. Most reset buttons look like this:

Even though yours may look slightly different, you need to look for a tiny button. Sometimes the reset button is under a pinhole on the back of the router, and you need a paper clip to push it.

Watch the front panel lights while you hold the reset button down for at least 10 seconds. The lights on the front of the router should do something different when the reset happens. You can hold the button down as long as you like, it will not hurt anything.

Remember, this will erase everything you have previously done to this Trendnet TV-IP300W router.

Login to the Trendnet TV-IP300W

Change Your Password

Tip: Write your new password down on a post-it note and stick it to the bottom of your router.
