In this article, you will learn how to reset your Trendnet TW100-BRV304 back to factory settings. This is not the same thing as rebooting a router. Rebooting a router is simply turning it off and back on again. A Router Reset completely erases the router and returns it to factory settings.

Warning: This is not a step to be taken lightly. The following settings will be changed in your router:

  • The router's username and password are reset.
  • Your WiFi login, password, and network name are reset.
  • Any ISP settings saved in your router will be removed. You may have to contact your ISP.
  • All port forwards, firewall settings, and parental controls that you have configured will be removed.

A router reset should be considered the last resort when you cannot log in to your router any other way. Make sure that you have tried to recover your router password using our Router Password Finder first.

Yours may look slightly different, but they are usually tiny. You may need a paper clip to push the reset button.

Hold the reset button down for 10 seconds and watch the lights. The lights on the front of the router should do something different when the reset happens. You can hold the button down as long as you like, it will not hurt anything.

Keep in mind that this will completely reset your Trendnet TW100-BRV304 router.

Only do this once you have exhausted all other troubleshooting options, such as running our Router Password Finder software, which can recover a lost router password for you.
