Reset the Verizon MiFi-4620L

This article covers how to reset the Verizon MiFi-4620L router back to factory default settings. A router reset is a much bigger deal than a router reboot. Every time your router loses power it reboots. However, when you reset a router you, return it back to its factory default settings.

Warning: Make sure that you fully understand the following before resetting your router. The following settings in your router will be changed:

  • The router's username and password are reset.
  • Your WiFi name and password are reset.
  • Your ISP username and password will be reset, and you may have to contact your ISP.
  • Any firewall settings, parental controls, or port forwards that you have configured will be removed.

A router reset is the last step you should take in recovering your router's password. Make sure that you have tried to recover your router password using our Router Password Finder first.

Reset the Verizon MiFi-4620L

Most routers have a small button on either the back or the bottom. This is what a typical reset button looks like:

Yours may look slightly different, but they are usually tiny. Sometimes the reset button is under a pinhole on the back of the router, and you need a paper clip to push it.

Watch the lights on the front of your router and hold the reset button down for about 10 seconds. Notice how the lights on the front of the router are blinking. When the lights do something different, the router is reset. It is harmless to hold the reset button too long.

Don't forget, this step will totally reset your Verizon MiFi-4620L router back to factory settings.

Login to the Verizon MiFi-4620L

Change Your Password

Tip: Write your new password down on a post-it note and stick it to the bottom of your router.
