Reset the Virgin Media Hub 3 v10

In this article, you will learn how to reset your Virgin Media Hub 3 v10 back to factory settings. A router reset is very different than a router reboot. Rebooting a router is simply turning it off and back on again. This is different from a reset because a reset completely erases all settings from the router.

Warning: This is not a step to be taken lightly. The following settings will be changed in your router:

  • The router's login credentials are reset.
  • All WiFi settings are reset, including network name and password.
  • Your ISP settings are reset, which means you will have to contact your ISP to get them back.
  • Any firewall settings, parental controls, and port forwards that you have configured will be removed.

Reset the Virgin Media Hub 3 v10

Most of the time you can find a small reset button located on either the back or the bottom of a router. Look for something that looks like this:

Reset buttons are usually tiny. Yours may look slightly different than this. You may need a paper clip to push the reset button.

Hold the reset button down for about 10 seconds while watching the lights on the front of your router. The lights on the front of the router should do something different when the reset happens. You can hold the button down as long as you like, it will not hurt anything.
