Let's begin this wireless setup guide on the Basic Info page of the ZTE ZXDSL531B router. To start configuring your wireless settings, click Wireless and then Basic on the left hand side of the page.

Change the WiFi Settings on the ZTE ZXDSL 531B

Now, in the left hand sidebar, click Security.

On this new page, scroll down until you come to the heading Manual Setup AP.

Open the drop down menu marked Select SSID and choose the SSID you just created.

Now, enter your desired network password into the box labeled WPA Pre-Shared Key. For tips on creating a strong password, take a look at our Choosing a Strong Password Guide.

Finally, make sure the WPA Encryption is set to AES.

And that's all there is to it. Just be sure to click Save/Apply before leaving the page.

Possible Problems when Changing your WiFi Settings

After making these changes to your router you will almost definitely have to reconnect any previously connected devices. This is usually done at the device itself and not at your computer.
