In this article, you will learn how to reset your Alcatel-Lucent G-241W-P back to factory settings. A router reset is a much bigger deal than a router reboot. Every time your router loses power it reboots. This is different from a reset because a reset completely erases all settings from the router.
Warning: This is not a step to be taken lightly. A router reset will affect the following settings:
- The router's login and password are reset.
- All WiFi information such as network name, password, and authentication method are erased.
- Your ISP settings are reset, which means you will have to contact your ISP to get them back.
- Any firewall settings, parental controls, and port forwards that you have configured will be removed.
Resetting your router should be considered the last step. Make sure that you have tried to recover your router password using our Router Password Finder first.
