In this article, you will learn how to reset your Altice Labs GR241AG back to factory settings. A router reset is a much bigger deal than a router reboot. A reboot happens every time a router loses power. Resetting a router erases all settings from it and returns it to factory defaults.
Warning: Since this erases everything you have done to the router, there are some things you need to consider first. The following settings will be changed in your router:
- The router's username and password are reset.
- All WiFi information such as network name, password, and authentication method are erased.
- If your router has any ISP settings they will be removed, and you will have to contact your ISP.
- Any firewall settings, parental controls, or port forwards that you have configured will be removed.

Reset the Altice Labs GR241AG
Most of the time you can find a small reset button located on either the back or the bottom of a router. Look at your router and try to find something that looks like this:
Even though yours may look slightly different, you need to look for a tiny button. You may need a paper clip to push the reset button.
Watch the front panel lights while you hold the reset button down for at least 10 seconds. You should notice that the blinking pattern of the lights on the front of the router changes after a few seconds. Do not be concerned about holding the reset button down too long. It will not hurt anything.
