A factory reset puts your Arcadyan gateway back to the defaults on its label.
Check With Your ISP First
Your ISP set up the gateway. A reset can remove the Internet, phone or TV settings. Most ISPs send them again automatically, but some need a call. Write down your WiFi details and port forwards.
Method 1: The Reset Button
- With the gateway on, press and hold the Reset button (often a pinhole on the back) for about 10 to 15 seconds, until the lights change.
- Let go and wait up to 5 minutes for the gateway to restart and reconnect.
Method 2: Reset From the Web Interface
Look under System, Maintenance or Advanced > Utilities for Restore Factory Defaults. On the Verizon G3100, go to Advanced > Utilities > Restore Defaults.
After the Reset
Log in with the label password (see the Arcadyan login guide) and set up your WiFi.
