This guide shows you how to reset your Arris BGW210-700 router. A router reset is a much bigger deal than a router reboot. Every time your router loses power it reboots. However, when you reset a router you, return it back to its factory default settings.
Warning: Make sure that you fully understand the following before resetting your router. The following settings will be changed in your router:
- The router's username and password are reset.
- All WiFi login information and network names are reset.
- Any ISP settings saved in your router will be removed. You may have to contact your ISP.
- Any firewall settings, parental controls, and port forwards that you have configured will be removed.
A router reset should be considered the last resort when you cannot log in to your router any other way. Make sure that you have tried to recover your router password using our Router Password Finder first.

Recover Password in Arris BGW210-700

Reset the Arris BGW210-700
Most routers have a small button on either the back or the bottom. What you are looking for is something that looks like this:
Reset buttons are usually tiny. Yours may look slightly different than this. You might find a pinhole on the back of the router that requires a paper clip to push the button hidden under it.
Watch the lights on the front of your router and hold the reset button down for about 10 seconds. The blinking pattern of the lights on the front of the router should change when the reset is complete. You cannot hold the button too long, and it will not hurt the router to hold the reset button down for longer than 10 seconds.
Remember, this will erase everything you have previously done to this Arris BGW210-700 router.

Login to the Arris BGW210-700
Once the reset is complete, you need to login to your router using the default IP address, username, and password. You can follow the BGW210-700 Login Guide to find everything that you need to log in.
Change Your Password

Tip: A great place to write your new password down is on a piece of paper taped to the bottom of your router.
