How to Reset the Atlantis Land A01-AE1 GX01

This guide covers how to reset the Atlantis-Land A01-AE1-GX01 router. This is not the same thing as rebooting the router. Rebooting the router requires you to turn off the router and turn it back on again to cycle the power. Resetting this router does a lot more than just cycle the power. It takes all your configured settings and reverts them back to factory defaults.

Warning: Resetting your router is serious. We recommend making a list of settings you know will be reset before you begin. Consider the following:

  • The router's main username and password are reverted to factory settings.
  • If you use a DSL connection, the ISP username and password need to re-entered. If you don't know this information you need to check with your ISP.
  • All configurations you have ever made such as port forwards or IP address changes are erased.

Reset the Atlantis Land A01-AE1 GX01

After you have made the decision to reset the Atlantis-Land A01-AE1-GX01 router you need to be sure it is turned on. Do not unplug or turn off the device at any point during the reset. Doing so could permanently damage your router.

Next you need to find the tiny recessed reset button. It is located on the back panel between the LAN port and the power jack. We have circled it's location for you in the image below.

Using the end of an unwound paperclip or pin press and hold this reset button for more than 6 seconds. If you don't press the button for a full 6 seconds it will only reboot the device not reset it.

Login to the Atlantis Land A01-AE1 GX01

Once you have finished resetting the device to factory defaults you need to login using the factory username and password. These can normally be found in the manual or maybe even on the device itself. We have found these for you and included them in the Atlantis-Land A01-AE1-GX01 Login Guide.

Change Your Password

After logging into the Atlantis-Land A01-AE1-GX01 router you need to change that default password. While it really doesn't matter what you enter here we recommend following a couple password rules to make it strong. Check out this Choosing a Strong Password guide for great ideas and tips.

Tip: Write this new password down and attach it to the bottom of the router for future reference.
