This guide covers how to reset the Beetel 450TC3 router back to original factory defaults. There is a lot of confusion on the difference between resetting and rebooting. Rebooting a router is simply powering off the device and powering it back on. This does solve some issues with your router it will not reset it. Resetting a router is taking all the settings and returning them to factory defaults.

Warning: Resetting your Beetel 450TC3 router can cause significant problems for you if you are unaware of what a reset changes. We recommend creating a list of settings you know will be changed. You can start from the partial list below:

  • The router's username and password are returned to the original factory defaults.
  • The WiFi SSID, password, and security are all reverted to factory settings.
  • If you use DSL you will need to re-enter the ISP username and password. If you don't know these you must call your ISP for details.
  • Any other settings you have changed like port forwards or IP addresses are erased.

Reset the Beetel 450TC3

When you know you are ready for a reset, you need to find the tiny recessed button. This tiny reset button is usually found on the back panel or on the underside of the device.

Take a sharpened pencil or pen to press and hold the reset button for about 10 seconds. The router needs to be on during this process. Turning the device off or unplugging it could cause permanent damage to the device.

Please don't forget that this WILL erase every setting you have changed. We recommend exhausting other troubleshooting methods before you attempt a reset.
